Ranveer Singh is among the top movie stars of India today. The quirky actor, known for his insane acting range, enjoys a huge fan following across the country. But there was a time when the 33-year-old lad thought that his career in Bollywood was over. He was afraid that he might not be able to dance or fight in films again.
For those not in the know, in the year 2013, Ranveer suffered a serious back injury that got him bedridden for nearly two and a half months. It was then the actor became dubious about his career in films.
Talking about the difficult phase in a recent interview with BBC Hindi, the actor said, “In 2013, I suffered from a serious back injury. For two and a half months, I was bedridden. I was very afraid because I was in doubt whether or not I will be able to dance and fight. My dream of becoming an actor had just been fulfilled but things were slipping out of my hands. But once that phase got over, my choices became more authentic and I, as a person, became more unfiltered.”
Ranveer also shared as to how he was trying to discover himself during his initial years in films. He said, “For the first two-three years after I joined films, I was trying to mould myself and discover what an evolving Hindi film hero would look like. But at that time, I was not what I was trying to become.”
