The legendary Sachin Tendulkar celebrates his 46th birthday today. One of the greatest batsmen ever to have played the game, he is still admired by millions despite having retired from cricket in 2013. The Master Blaster, as he is often referred to as by the fans, is considered one of the finest cricketers Indian has ever produced. He was a complete batsman who could score anywhere around the ground and proved his mettle across the world in all sort of conditions attaining a semi-god status.

Sachin made his debut for India in November 1989 and went on to become the highest ever run-getter in the history of cricket with a total 34, 357 international runs across formats. He is the highest ever run-getter in ODI and Test cricket and his record is likely to remain intact with no active batsmen even coming close to matching his tally of runs.
