Bollywood actor Mahesh Anand was on Saturday found dead at his home in Mumbai, reports ANI. He was 57. Mahesh Anand essayed negative roles in a number of movies in the 1990s. Police has not ruled out suicide in the actor’s death, even though no note was recovered from his home. Mahesh Anand was last seen in Govinda-starrer Rangeela Raja, which released on January 18 this year.
According to ANI, the actor had a drinking problem. Mahesh’s body was found in a decomposed state at his residence in Andheri’s Yaari Road, police said. The body was later sent to the nearby Cooper Hospital for post-mortem to ascertain the time and cause of death. Mahesh Anand had been living alone in Mumbai’s Versova as his wife stays in Moscow, police added.
The actor appeared in several hit movies of the 1990s, including Shahenshah (1988), Majboor (1989), Swarg (1990), Thanedaar (1990), Vishwatma (1992), Gumrah (1993), Betaaj Badshah (1994), Khuddar (1994), Vijeta (1996) and Kurukshetra (2000).
